The Pits…

LoadingFavoriteAdd to favorites

the-pits1This is just a quick note, first of all I want to wish you a wonderful week and secondly to share that the site is going through a few changes.  Much of it won’t be seen by you, it’s mostly behind the scenes stuff.  But there is something that you might notice, and that is, missing photos.  This past weekend, I accidentally deleted over 400 photos that were linked to my recipes.

Oy-Vey!!!!

If that ain’t the PITS! lol  I have been working non-stop on slapping those puppies back into place.  Wait!  no I am not really slapping puppies, who could do that?! Just a figure of speech. Should you spot a tiny icon that looks like a broken picture, on any of the recipes, please just put a quick comment at the bottom of that recipe and I will fix it!

But this is also a blessing in disguise, many of the photos were of old recipes from years ago and those photos are lost for good.  Which has forced me to remake some recipes to get new photos. So needless to say, I have been one busy girl. :)  And there is lots to eat around the house, even more than usual, and Bob is happy about that.

Many Blessings, amie sue

Oh, and by the way… those are date pits incase you were wondering. hehe

Amie Sue… I am Soooo Sorry. I can’t even Imagine what you are going through…. I loved those recipes!! This is tramatic!! I will pray that you will be able to get it all together. But this is soo much work for you!! I appreciate every recipe you give us. Not only because I know what work of love went into each one, but for the finished product. Hope that things will work out for you and please know that we love and appreciate the fact that you give them to us!! Jan

Thank you Jan :) It’s all good… frustrating but it’s a blessing in disguise as I go through the recipes and spruce them up. Making the best of this situation. :) I am just asking for a little patience from you all should you find funky recipe posts. I have fixed a lot of them and have a ways to go.

Sorry about the weird email. I have no idea why all those other recipes attached to the main post “The Pits”…. Those recipes are just some of what I went through to fix, no clue why they look like a new release. Oy-Vey. lol I would LIKE to crazy, but instead, I am just going to laugh and carry on. If this is the LEAST of my life’s problems… life is good. :)

      hugs, amie sue

    Hi Amie Sue,
So sorry you lost all your pictures. My daughter in law switched phones and lost every single picture of her precious baby girl from birth up to a year old 300 total. She was very upset. I can imagine how your feeling. Just to let you know I enjoyed all the extras in the post. Gave me some ideas ;). Have a great day and thanks for all the great recipes and posts.

    • amie-sue says:

OOOOH Tracey that is horrible. In light of that, I have nothing to complain about. Mine are just food pictures which can be remade… but of little ones… oh that breaks my heart.

Actually, I want to apologize for ALL those recipes that somehow got into the my email that went out to everyone. We don’t quite understand how that glitch happened, I didn’t tell it to. I was embarrassed when I saw the email. One just has to smile and carry on… now don’t we? hehe

Thank you for your sweet words. Blessings, amie sue

      Hello Nadia,

I don’t have an ebook with my recipes… just one for my Edible Veggie Bouquet eBook… I have over 1,000 recipes here… that would be one BIG ebook. hehe Have a great evening, amie sue

I’m sorry to hear that you had to put unexpected work into your website. Strength to you! Thank you for putting all your time and effort to fix the issue. I love your website and the recipes you create. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s the best!

    • amie-sue says:

Thank you Cindy… considering I have over 7,300 photos throughout my site, losing 450 isn’t so bad. lol Could be much worse. I appreciate your kindness. Have a wonderful evening, amie sue

For a moment I thought you had a use for date pits! I was a little excited. I’ve tried feeding them to squirrels, but they didn’t really like them. I guess I’ll continue to compost them (through the city, I sure hope they decompose in the industrial composters!) — Now that I type that, maybe anyone who leaves a comment can be considered a com-poster! Good luck on working with all your photos…glad to see you looking on the bright side.

    • amie-sue says:

lol Nice comment Timothy. I have wondered if a person could wash and save them, then creating one of these warming pads with them. I use made those all the time. I have filled them with flaxseeds, buckwheat, popcorn, rice, cherry pits….hmmm, now that I think of it, date pits might be too pointy. I am sure there is some craft project for them! hehe Have a great day, amie sue

    Dear Amie Sue,

I`m just sooo glad I found you & your site! – the zebra blackberry cheese cake is fabulous!..and the pecan thing no less… it`s just a never ending delight this energy and cuisine of yours!!
…being vegan for some 15 years..you`ve now definitely convinced me to go for merely raw :DD
Well..I suppose that photo-glitch obviously couldn`t do you just any harm…but please find some expert to learn some more about IT security..or simply pray for it..and we all will :)
Again..have to admit that your story and cookery is really Heaven on Earth…

Most blessings and love to you, yours and your work
    Ana

    • amie-sue says:

I am glad that you found it too Ana. I hope you find much inspiration throughout it. :) Even though my site is basically comprised of all raw recipes, my message throughout is for people to find a style of eating that works for them. In fact it doesn’t require a food label. :) I encourage people to add in fresh whole foods into their diets as much as possible… leaning to love your body and learning to listen to it along the way.

I hope my passion is contagious. hehe Have a blessed and wonderful weekend, amie sue

Vegan and raw is the present and future on Earth :)))

I was looking for more dehydrator cracker recipes. Getting tired of flax crackers. So I did a Google. I thought I was going to be at this project for awhile – a recipe here, a recipe there. Yours was the second site I hit. Imagine my great wonder and delight to see you have a WHOLE page of cracker recipes – imaginative, lovely recipes. And your images are wonderful. I see no need to go any further – these recipes are enough to keep me busy for a long while. I am finally getting rid of this Excalibur dehydrator (Yea Yea Yea!) which I have detested from the first. I have a new HUGE Stx coming this week and I have cracker dreams now. Thank you for all your work!

    • amie-sue says:

Good evening Davilyn. Your comment just tickled me. I am so thrilled that you landed on my site and I am pretty confident that you will find much inspiration throughout it. I just LOVE my Excalibur dehydrators… but glad to hear that you are a new one on its way. Enjoy and keep me posted how the recipes go for you.

      Blessings, amie sue

Thank you Nancy. :) I will have to put that recipe request on the list of recipes to work on. :) Have a blessed evening, amie sue
