Raw Mushroom Gravy over Marinated Veggies and “Riced” Cauliflower

I struggled to name this recipe… it’s not like anything I have ever had in my aging years.  So how do you name a recipe so it entices others to try it when it is made up of four components?  I must have sat for 10 minutes on the couch, rearranging the names of these recipes over and over.  I just about gave up and named it “Stuff”!

Have you had a “stuff” dish before?  I have.  My dad was known to create “stuff” nightly, ah my culinary hero.  He could open the fridge, rummage around for two minutes, withdraw with an armful of goodies and in 30 minutes, he would spread out a feast on the table. O.M.G… he was the male twin of Rachel Ray before her time!

I must had looked in that fridge 20 times prior and never saw such foods in there… “How does he do that”, I would wonder.  As we sat down around the table I would ask what it was…. dad always replied, “Stuff!”  Heads dropped, forks clanked against the plates and in silence we scarfed down our “stuff”.

This recipe mashup is loaded with incredible textures and a wide variety of flavors that all compliment each other.   This is great served at room temperature or warmed in the dehydrator.

Recipe mashup:

Preparation:

  1. In single serving dishes layer all the components;  starting from the bottom – add a hefty layer of cauliflower “rice”, followed by a substantial amount of grilled veggies,  smoother with some gravy and top with ground nut burger!
  2. To warm, slide the dish(s) in the dehydrator and warm at 115 degrees (F) for 1-2 hours.   Enjoy!

Again thank you. This sounds wonderful together. I always pick the recipes. I’ve learned to ask my husband ” what do we have? ” making my altered and doctored combinations.

Your welcome Bridget. It truly was quite delicious. Isn’t it great to have that type of freedom in the kitchen? It wasn’t always the case for me. It took me awhile to acquire that, it didn’t come naturally. :P I think my passion for healthy eating really taught me a lot in the kitchen. Plus, I have an amazing husband who is so supporting and encouraging. That made a world of difference in my confidence.

Have a blessed evening Bridget.. amie sue

    Hallo Amie Sue.

Also dann alles Liebe und Gute
    Susanna

Susanna… thank goodness for “Google Translate” hehe I put in what you typed out and this is what it reads….

      “Hi Amie Sue.

I hope that I have written your name correctly. Unfortunately, I can only write in German. But I’ll just have my heartfelt thanks again for your wonderful fine recipes that they always send me to pronounce. I’m always pleased and am so excited to see how they are gelingen.Es me we have not always buy all the ingredients, which are given in the recipes, but then I let it just go away or try to replace it. It’s just nice to have a girlfriend so far away. I live namely the Principality of Liechtenstein. The small country is next to Switzerland and Austria.

      So then all the best
      Susanna”

      Good evening Susanna,

You spelt my name perfectly. :) You are so welcome for the recipes. I do understand that it can be challenging for other countries to have the same ingredients available to them as we do here in the US… but in the end, it is just my heart that my recipes inspire you. Whether you ever are able to replicate exactly what my recipe calls for or not, I always pray that it encourages you to create wonderful and healthier foods for your own home.

I will not fib, I Googled where you live. :) “Liechtenstein is the smallest yet the richest (by measure of GDP per capita) German-speaking country….” I am part German… I must visit some day! hehe

It is time for my day to come to an end, but I wanted to address your comment and to thank you for leaving a comment. It is good to hear from you. Please keep in touch as you are able. Blessings, amie sue

Your site has such class…have you thought of the Food Network? They need you!

    • amie-sue says:

Oh thank you Deb, I do my best to create inspiring dishes. Hoping to encourage all that come in contact with them to add healthier dishes into their diet… I so appreciate your loving words, they mean the world to me. :) Food Network? hehe Silly girl. I am sooooo camera shy that it would turn into a comedy show more than a cooking show, but I appreciate your vote of confidence. :) hugs
