Almond Butter Morning Porridge

I just adore almond butter!  This porridge is so scrumptious and will give you the fuel to get your day started!  I blended this recipe into a porridge consistency, but you if you would rather have it be a bit chunkier, just mix it by hand.  You could also use any kind of nut butter that you prefer.  You just can’t go wrong with nut butters.

Ingredients:

yields 1 serving

Garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients into the blender, except for 1/2 a sliced banana and raisins and mix well.
  2. Allow mixture to rest over-night in the fridge or allow it to sit on the counter for 1 hour.
  3. Garnish  and enjoy!

Hi not sure if your aware that Stevia contains aspartame … Considering your recipes are very health conscious I was surprise to see this ingredient. A safe healthy alternative is xylitol.. Bit costly but very safe

Hello Lynne… Can you please link to me where you are reading this. I don’t find this statement to be true.

      Source:
Aspartame is a man-made, high intensity, non-caloric sweetener, used extensively worldwide in over 5,000 products.
When the temperature of Aspartame exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME coverts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. (Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants.)

Stevia comes from the dried leaves of the stevia plant. It is an excellent natural alternative to sugar. It has no calories, has none of the side effects or health risks of sugar, aspartame and saccharin and is not broken down by heat.
