What’s your excuse for not eating breakfast?

“No time?” How much time does it take to eat a bowl of fruit or oatmeal?  Make your breakfast the night before.  Making time for breakfast is making time to be healthy.  Make it a family time!

“Not hungry?”  To get started, try not eating anything after an early supper.  Finish by 6:30 p.m., this is much easier on your digestion too.

“Might gain weight?” Eating breakfast will actually help you reach and maintain your healthy weight.  Your appetite will be satisfied longer.  You’ll be eating food when you can best burn the calories. You’ll feel great.  Eat breakfast.

“Don’t like breakfast foods?”  You don’t have to eat traditional breakfast foods. You can eat leftovers or any food that sounds good to you.  Any healthy food is fine.

Hi I LOVE your site and am excited to try some recipes! I’m new to all of this and had a questions about this oatmeal, (which I’ve been dying to try since I first saw it!) Do you first soak the oatmeal like you show here – https://nouveauraw.com/breakfast/soaking-oats/ (rinsing the oats after the soak) and then put this together and soak them all together over night? Or is the one time soak overnight okay without rinsing the oats? Does that make sense? Thank you so much for the vast information covered and all the recipes!

    Most sincerely,
    Chels

      Hello Chels,

Your question made perfect sense, after I read it a few times. hehe Just kidding! You can do it both ways. It is really such a small amount that it wouldn’t hurt to mix everything together and soak it over-night. But if you find that you have a hard time digesting oats, then I would soak the oats by themselves and then just blend it all together in the morning. If you give the recipe a try please let me know what you think. I hope you are having a blessed day! amie sue
