~ raw, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free ~

This Spicy Banana Chocolate Chia Pudding is as spicy as you like it. Being the chef of your own kitchen and taste buds… you have the ultimate control in how little or how much heat it will have.

I love recipes that have a dual purpose. Not only can you enjoy this omega three packed recipe as a pudding but you can also add a spoon or two into your daily smoothie. I don’t know about you, but about mid-afternoon, I could use a little “kick.”

Or how about a shake? I would take about 1/4 of this recipe and mix it well with your favorite nut milk, and you have the perfect foundation for a power-packed shake. If you like a malt-like flavor, add a scoop of maca powder.

Since this recipe yields three cups worth, I like to spoon it into small four-ounce serving-sized mason jars. That way, when a snack attack hits me… it is literally a grab-and-go treat. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Blessings, amie sue

    • Allow the pudding to “gel” which will take anywhere from 10-15 minutes.  Be sure to stir out any lumps.
    • Chia seeds soak up 9x their size in water.
  2. Garnish.  EAT!
  3. You can store this in a glass container in the fridge for a week.

Can you leave out the banana?

Thanks! The avocado is a good idea. You may even be able to replace it with Irish Moss paste; what do you think? Coconut is another idea :)

All are great subs Chris! Even a combo of them; 1/2 Irish moss and 1/2 coconut meat or avocado…

I tried this with the irish moss paste because I had some and it was awesome. I also replaced the cinnamon with a drop of Young Living Peppermint Oil and added a few drops of stevia. It was out of this world and satisfied my longing for Girl Scount Thin Mint cookies!!!!!!
