Vegan Veggie Burger and Avocado Fries

LoadingFavoriteAdd to favorites

Veggie-Burger-instagramI was so excited to prepare my lunch today. I knew exactly what I was hungry for when I woke up so I made sure that I had everything warming in the dehydrator an hour before the tummy grumblings were about to begin.

Lucky, I had all of these components premade, so I knew that it was a matter of pulling them together to create my feast.

Tip of the Day

To warm your foods, yet keeping them raw… you can place them in the dehydrator set at 145 degrees (F) for 15+ minutes. Will it still be considered raw at 145 degrees (F)?  Click (here) to learn more about this.

I built my burger. I cut the bun in half and lined it with a lettuce leaf. I perfectly positioned my veggie patty right on top of the lower bun. I placed two thin sliced tomatoes on patty. It was looking good already. Then came the hefty slather of guacamole (oooh my mouth was watering), and lastly, I piled a handful of fresh sprouts on top.

I feared that once I placed the other half of the bun on top, that it would wobble over… it didn’t. I got my dipping sauce and avocado fries in position. Pour myself a glass of ice tea and was just about to sit down…

The husband walked by…

Yep, Bob walked by and caught a glimpse of my plate. You see, I hadn’t made a plate for him because he stated he wasn’t hungry. After all these years, I should have known better. I am not sure if I really need to continue with the story…. you know where this headed.  Let’s just say that Bob had a great lunch and I enjoyed a few bites. hehe  Nothing brings me greater joy than to see him drool over a plate of nutritious foods.
