How to Read and Tackle a Recipe

A recipe is like a map, and we need to know how to read it, or we won’t end up at the final destination. If you are new to preparing food, or you are following the work of a new chef (recipe developer) you should always (at first) follow a recipe closely. If you are an experienced cook, you can substitute ingredients and even change the proportions a bit. But too much change can cause problems in texture, flavor, and the total outcome.
