Keep Up with the Latest Posts

March 1st is literally around the corner and the site will be open to the public and you no longer will be logging in to enjoy your recipes.
In the meantime, we are busy working in the background. One thing that is in question (on our end) is the FAVORITES FEATURE that allows you to compile a list of your favorite recipes on the site. We are not positive if this feature can or will remain on the site once the change over happens.
So… if YOUR favorite list is important to you, please copy and paste the links to your computer. Once I find out more information I will let you know! Have a wonderfully happy day! amie sue

How to Read and Tackle a Recipe

Members Only, How To Tackle a Recipe (3 lessons)

A recipe is like a map, and we need to know how to read it, or we won’t end up at the final destination. If you are new to preparing food, or you are following the work of a new chef (recipe developer) you should always (at first) follow a recipe closely. If you are an experienced cook, you can substitute ingredients and even change the proportions a bit. But too much change can cause problems in texture, flavor, and the total outcome.

I don’t know a person that doesn’t enjoy ice cream. Oddly enough, I consumed more ice cream while living in Alaska then I ever did living in warmer climates. #1 – Organizing the Kitchen – Declutter and Tidy Up

 Members Only, Kitchen Organization Basics

One comment I often get about switching over to a whole food diet (raw or not), is that’s too time-consuming. And of course, everyone wants things simplified, which I totally get, living in this day and age that we do. Did you know that just by being organized in the kitchen, that you can reduce the amount of time being spent in there and become more efficient? The kitchen is an area of your home that gets used more often than most. So it stands to reason that if your kitchen were more organized and simple to use, your life would feel easier.

Spider Mites | Plant Pest

Plant Care, Plant Pests

Spiders, in general, are enough to make a person’s skin crawl. I often find that if I don’t make eye contact with them, I will survive the encounter. The problem with spider mites is that they are nearly invisible to the naked eye. You usually need a magnifying lens to… read more »

How to Encourage Loved Ones to Eat Healthy

Free Recipes (Photo View), #1 — Introduction | Free, #2 - Successfully Transitioning Your Diet

I feel so blessed to have a husband who supports eating healthy.  I will never forget something he said to me early on in our relationship… “I don’t care if we wear second-hand clothing to save money, but we will always aim to purchase organic foods.”  We have held true to this for over ten years. BUT I realize and understand that a lot of people struggle with getting the whole family on board when adapting a whole food diet, cooked and/or raw.

#4 – Vitamin B12 for Vegans

Members Only, #3 - Nutrition Basics

Vegans, whether cooked or raw, are at risk of not getting enough B12 into their diet. Vitamin B12 benefits your mood, energy level, memory, heart, skin, hair, digestion and more. It is also an essential vitamin for addressing adrenal fatigue, multiple metabolic functions—including enzyme production, DNA synthesis, and hormonal balance, and maintaining healthy nervous and cardiovascular systems. So this is nothing to sneeze at. It is wise to be tested regularly for homocysteine or methylmalonic acid levels, which can indicate a B12 deficiency.
